We’re Fighting for the Future of America’s Rural Electric Cooperatives
Rural Electric Cooperatives (RECs) have transformed the lives of millions of rural Americans since their creation in the New Deal of the 1930s. However, much of that promise has been lost – now rural democratic movements must reclaim their cooperatives in order to spread democracy, improve people’s lives, and act on the climate crisis.
Don’t miss our free, four-part training series for member-owners of electric co-ops, stating in late January!
For folks unsure if their utilities are co-ops—and for those interested in dipping their toes into organizing for energy affordability at the utility-scale—this training will offer useful skills and insights into how to get started.
All are welcome to register and participate.
